Abstract

This study was conducted to explore the Perspectives of High school students on E-commerce and Online Shopping. The study was conducted with a simple qualitative research design and a semi-structured interview as the data collection method. Five high school students from Bacolod Trinity Christian School were included within the study. The researchers made a set of questions to use in the interviews. The researchers asked the respondents a series of questions during the semi-structured interview which gave the respondents the chance to express their inputs on the research topic freely. After conducting the interviews, the researchers encoded the interview recordings and divided the data into categories and concepts for further analysis. The answers gathered by the researchers from the respondents are instrumental in the research study as they hold the data needed to determine the results. The findings of study reveal that: (1) Students find online shopping more useful than physical shopping. (2) Students believe that online shopping will still be very relevant in the future. (3) Majority of students have had negative experiences or inconveniences with online shopping. (4) Students, although they shop online, do still mostly shop physically.
