In this fast-rising digital age and its extension to education, the utilization of digital learning tools poses significant effects on students’ academic performance. This qualitative research study’s purpose was to explore the perspectives of senior high school students on digital learning tools and academic performance. This purpose was achieved through the use of purposive sampling in gathering five senior high school students from Bacolod Trinity Christian School as respondents who will be interviewed. The respondents were each interviewed using semi-structured interviews as well as follow-up interviews succeeding the main interview for clarification purposes. Upon gathering and transcribing the data, thematic analysis was used to analyze the data. As such, codes, categories, and themes were derived from the data analysis process. This, in turn, allowed for the recognition of relevant findings and themes pertaining to the questions that encompass the study. Results of this study showed that students perceive that (1) digital learning tools offer comprehensive use in education, (2) the development of technology facilitates digital learning tool usage, (3) productive learning is dependent on the ease of use of the digital learning tool, (4) proper utilization of digital learning tools positively affect academic performance, (5) digital divide poses challenges in any learning community, and (6) responsible users have high awareness on ethical issues on the use of digital learning tools. Despite the subjectiveness of each perspective of the respondents, multiple similarities were seen between them. Through this study, an analysis of the students’ perspectives with digital learning concerning their academic performance were made possible.
